Can America just f**k off with this World Police act already? The same goes for any Americans who endorse or believe in what their government is doing: F OFF.

Why must *your* sanctions apply to 3rd parties? Piss off!

🇷🇺🇨🇳

I hope Russia retakes all of the fake state "Ukraine", leaving only Lvov and a 50km ring around it. Then Poland can deal with the 2 million or so Nazis they seem to, apparently, adore so much.

F Trump, too.

The main thing is going to be war crimes trials. “Denazification” will require occupation of all regions where the Nazis operate — which is the whole country.

Well...

But the Russians could turn them over to the Poles, they still have a score to settle with those Nazis.

But most will be outside of Ukraine when the Russians come closer.

Well, after WW2 many Nazi's fled to South Amerika (and many Banderites to Britain, the US and Canada). We all know what happened to many of the Criminals.

I found many Russians, also from Ukraine, ready to search and destroy them after the war...

Just saying.

Well done Julian BUT you did not include Turkey here.

As it is: IF Turkey stops supplying gas from Russia to the Europeans (which they are NOT doing).

HOW is it that? does this effect Turkey? OF course it does. Istanbul is a a major port (West and East)

USA is NOT cognizant of History.

Time and time again the US HUBRIS is telling their own people SHIT.

Just recently in France we are getting cheques for electricity.

WHY?

France is probably has the most nuclear electricity in the whole world. LOOK at the maps in France with regard to nuclear power plants.

WHY did Germany reduce/dismantle their Nuclear Power?

Germany sucked up to the USA!

Turkey right now is the major importer of gas (from Russia)

You can say any number of things regarding Europe and I would possibly agree with you all. BUT one thing that USA has neglected is how powerful Turkey is.

Julian. Calm down.

YOU in the USA know damned well that the Germans are struggling with what they did. Instead of vilifying the Germans (owned by the USA) help them.

I know many Germans and they are in a SHIT place (just like the Israelis) Although I don't believe for that the Israelis give a shit.. The Germans right now are in a bad place and I understand why. Instead of mocking them .........

Try empathy and understanding why this happened.

DO you really think that the USA had nothing to do with this?

Auschwichz: (wrong spelling) perhaps?

WHO fought the War?

47 million Russians lost their lives and they were the ones who liberated A.

EXACTLY why do we hate the Russians who fought for Europe?

Why were the Russians NOT invited to this charade?

IF I was Russian I would raise my right finger to the USA/UK and Europe.

STOP this now.

I agree...

Why ?

Maybe this info gives a reason ?

And the Western Media have worked together to split Germany and Russia, because they are ruled by the same forces that rule Stratfor and other think-tanks.

I agree that the tariffs on Canadian petroleum tariffs threatened by the US are significant.

They certainly are FOOLISH and Painful, to those who end up paying higher prices, but are likely a welcomed result of bullying by anyone who will pay less for oil and/or gas.

Note that I describe the situation based upon the point of view of the Judge, NOT by what may or may not be done in the way of tariffs.

Having been a student of the oil market for many decades I know it is often difficult to predict price changes, especially (as Yogi Berra said) in the future.

And it is always easy to explain, after the fact, why price moved up or down.

But the way the market works is quite complicated and it is easy to make errors:

In fact,, I am now quoting an incorrect statement in the Essay:

"There will be an OPEC meeting Feb. 3 in which the producers are unlikely to agree to Trump’s demand to lower demand."

Trump wanted a LOWER price, which really means HIGHER production.

OPEC producers have no significant effect on DEMAND. Of course, OPEC producers sell their oil and are mostly interested in PREDICTING demand so they know how much to produce and how many wells to drill. OPEC as a whole controls around 30% of the SUPPLY. It sometimes reduces the amount it sells to raise the price, even if Demand is flat or declining. Consumers, want to pay less, of course. Countries like China buy more when prices are low and store it for use when prices are high. Countries with Strategic Petroleum Reserves sometimes (to get Pols re-elected) try to manipulate the price lower by selling stored crude in the spot or cash market.

Of, if you are a Sovereign, a banker, or just an investor or speculator, if you have enough money, you can manipulate the price on the commodities market, where "paper" contracts for future delivery are bought and sold.

Getting to Canada. Canadian oil and gas companies almost ALWAYS get less than "Benchmark" price for the petroleum they sell to the USA. The reason is that the oil is World Price at the end of the pipeline so the Canadian company tends to eat the transport fees. If there is a large surplus of oil or gas in Canada, what's called the Differential can be even higher, leading to the net revenue per barrel earned by the Canadian companies being even lower.

Historically, Canada has been keen to sell to the convenient US Market, and the Greens and others in Canada have been significantly obstructive, successfully stopping the construction of infrastructure that would allow Canadian petroleum to be sold at much higher prices to Asia and/or Europe (hurting oil companies and tax revenues in Canada and not significantly retarding climate change).

In the past, the US offered TRADE CONCESSIONS to get Canadian Petroleum. In fact, Canada was "allowed" to assemble US brand cars in the original AutoPact, in order to have SECURE access to Canadian petroleum. Canada promised it would not arbitrarily reduce shipments to the USA unless shipments were reduced within Canada.

Now, Canada is faced with something other than a DEAL. It appears to be a one-sided imposition.... just like Canada banning the import of Chinese automobiles, even though they would cost about half of what a comparable US or Japanese car would cost. It is also similar to Canadian Supply Management of agricultural products that Canada uses to ensure that the country is capable of producing its own food, lest some day, all the food comes from the USA and they decide to stop shipments because they want to own the Northwest Territories, or Newfoundland.

You never know, eh?
